my mom and her cousin went out on the lake the last 2 days and caught their limit of specks chasing the birds. I'm gonna try to get out on the lake one day this week. FEELS GOOD TO BE HOME!

Flounder are being caught down by the pogie plant, just look for the waders. Use gulp swim mullet in white.

Here is what you do...
Find some birds...don't matter if they working sitting or just picking here and there..... Use your trolling motor when needed but watch the water....and as long as the birds are around they will help u.....once they leave just keep fishing....watch and look for trout busting the top....follow the bait and fish! You can do this for hours with out birds....don't run from group to group...stay and work one area and you will likely catch your limit on one or two sets.....if its rough it will be harder to do this.....use a simple bait like sparkle beetle or sting ray grub.....if you want to eliminate sand trout throw a catch 2000 or small top water(might not catch as many) |

we managed 3 limits of reds near the washout on saturday. tide was perfect. birds werent working. I just saw an eddy (sp) and decided to fish it. sparkle beetle for sure. water was dirtier but it didnt matter. I like W's comment. Great advice.

Thanks everyone! Thanks for the advice and for sharing the spots. That is above and beyond. Hopefully I can return the favor someday. If any of you ever get a hook in the face (or anywhere else), stop by and let me take care of you. Make sure to tell my front desk that you know me from SaltCajun.

Well, as luck would have it, the forecasters were right. I woke up to 20+ MPH wind with gusts much worse than that. I had to pull the plug on my flounder mission. I am still very grateful for all of the advice from everyone. My next day off is November 17th....any chance the flatties will still be there?? Thanks again to the SC crew. Paul, you are the man.
