Default Afternoon in the Bay 11/2

Took a couple of my buddies who are still pretty new to saltwater fishing out to the Bay hoping to get on a good bite. Put in around 3 in Delcambre and headed to join the fleet in Weeks Bay. Wind had everything messed up but we still managed to boat 12 trout, we probably lost about 10 more at the side of the boat. Also caught three good sized flounder. All said and done we had fun and caught some fish. My buddy is supposed to text me a pic so if he does then I'll post one

Glad yall caught a few to make the grease stink. Guess you found a parking spot in delcambre. You have a better understading how fast I was going to get to the landing from weeks in 16 mins now?

Pretty good with the wind. It was a lil windy at times yesterday afternoon, but nothing like today.

I did it in 20 on the way out there straight into a SE wind. Buried the trim tabs and let her rip. Didnt get a single drop of water in the boat either. Had to go a little slower on the way in cause we stayed out there till 6:45

I'm not about taking chances like that anymore... i'll keep to the marsh and enjoy the scenery before i hit the rough seas in my 16fter!

I hear ya,my whaler is 16' 7" and I second guess myself running across the bay sometimes. I know it won't sink but it will beat you to death in the slop.
