Default Safety Certification

I am in the process of getting my Construction Site Safety Technician certification. I was wondering if anyone on here had any experience in this field and could give me some advice or information on opportunities and how the fields future is looking. I know most people work offshore but hoping someone can give me some insight. Thanks in advance.

I am a safety manager for LPRconstruction based out of Colorado. The industrial conctrution jobs are doing somewhat ok. LPR has managed to stay busy in this bad economy but it hasnt been easy, we also do commercial iron construction I however am on the side of all of it. Get your CSST and start looking for a company. This work can be very rewarding but remember safety men carry a lot of weight on there shoulders, most of the time its the bad things that everyone remembers so do all you can to prevent any unsafe act before it happens! Best advice I can offer is get out in the field you are going to try working in and learn and understand everyones possition before you tell them what they are doing wrong, WORK WITH THEM it will earn respect and that is a big mile stone. Welcome aboard bro.
