Default crabs out the a**

took the family crabbing sat. morning at Joseph's Harbor, yes its open, what is closed is the road on the east side of the canal that takes you back to the locks, the boat landing is open I think till Feb. We dropped our first test net and picked it up only one minute later and it had a half dozen of large crabs, so we dropped 6 nets and set out 6 lines for the kids to play with and it was on!!! we were only keeping the large males and we had our 12 dozen in two hours. We must have caught over 20 dozen and the ones we were throwing back were all good medium crabs. I could not keep up with the kids they were bring crabs to me so fast, there were crabs everywhere!!!! We had the whole weir to ourselves, What a great day with the family!! sorry no pictures did not have time. FYI-LSU

the crabs are everywhere... they were catching them at every wier... i would start at concrete, you will def catch crabs... catch a lot of bait size shrimp and big reds as well.
