Default Lake Arthur/Grand Lake

Any one know how the red fish bite will be the week after Christmas in the Grand Lake area. I'm headed down there to camp and fish with the family in hopes to land some reds as well! I'm a Texan so i'm not to familiar with the LA inland brackish water fishing and am anxious to figure it out. I've lived in LA for three years now so it's time to venture....

If the weather allows anywhere along the south bank should be good for reds. I see lots of people fish the stumps near the Superior Canal and do well.

Be very aware of the weather, because the lake can get nasty very quick.

I always catch a few reds and even some bass fishing the first big point once you get in the lake on the west side. Rattle traps and spinnerbaits work good if the water is clear. If the water is stained use gulp or shrimp under a cork.

Catfish Locks. You can fish both sides. Most of the time there are nice Reds on the South side.
