Went to get my boat to bring it back to Houston and after arriving about 10am and seeing how sunny it was, I thought --what the heck--I am already here. So I launched and went north to West Pass and began drifting by 11am. Bite was slow but after the wind died a little and after the water warmed, I began catching trout by slowly bumping a Who Dat Hackberry Hustler along the bottom and the best bite was after 3pm. The water was good and I managed a 20" red and 9 trout. The big trout was fatter than the red. There are still some shrimp around as I found a good sized one inside my largest trout.
