Default Chandeleur Island

We are trying to plan a fishing trip/ bachelor party for a podnuh of mine. Anyone know if the surf fishing or fishing in general is good there in early march? We would also have access to little boats to fish out of as well. So we could fish out of the boat and move around if it is better to do that during that time of year. Appreciate any feedback.

Fished out of there last winter/spring and the fishing was very good. Water was great. Went there 3 times last winter/spring and 2 of the 3 times, water was excellent... all three times we caught plenty of fish.

I mostly wade but find you a good slick between the islands an fish it from a boat especially at night...it'll be hammer time...also there is a submerged rock pile a big axe one out there that's killer.

I have fished out there in the winter but u really have to grind it out, come march is when I start really fishing those islands hard . Early march is hit or miss on the numbers but tge bigger fish stay out there year round. Wading out there is fun but let me caution you on tge amount of sharks! Usally march is a little windy so getting out there in a smaller boat can be a pain . But I can give u some Phobe numbers of camps for rent in Venice and if the wether is decent ill let some of u ride with me and the rest can follow if u like

Thanks for the report man. I think we are going to go out of Biloxi on an 85ft boat called the Jokas Wild with little boats on it. We will sleep out there on the boat. We can either wade or troll around in the little boats. Appreciate the offer to ride down though.

I'll be strapped if I do wade. I hate sharks as well.

I just saw that as well. I'm going to have to ask them about that. Not cool.

Might be crazy but I promise it's gonna be a good time the owner and the crew (captain and deckhands) are not the same...the crew does everything it will be 3-4 of them and they do everything from cooking to cleaning all fish and will even take you to the fish if needed...and believe me these ole boys ain't made no website so don't just judge by the false pic prolly had something to do with a rich snobby owner the crew are truly amazing guys and a blast to have on the boat.
