Default white oak 3/14

Made a quick trip with my buddy today to the calcasieu river and launched at whie oak park. Ran north, water was moving pretty good. Neither of us have bass fished on the river before. Murky water on main river, cuts with less current seemed to be a little more clear. Water also looked high. Threw dark speed craws, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, flukes and senkos. No fish today, but figured I would give a report of how the water looked. We plan on making a trip once a week, we're gonna figure them out.

Used to fish up north of white oak with my dad years ago...can be very productive...spinnerbait large...colorado blades silver and gold with perch colored body...

Jared.... i find white oak to be good when the water is coming out of the little cuts.... find a spot where the water is pushed up past the trees and goes far back. with a falling tide those spots can be lethal. I only try to fish with a falling tide.
