Default Lake Martin 3/25

Hit lake Martin yesterday from noon till about 6 pm. Caught 1 stinkin fish . I'm starting to doubt my abilities to catch fish. I tried it all yesterday. Water temps 73-78, the one I caught was on a watermelon havoc boss hog in 2 ft, flippin to a cypress tree. Saw one ole boy catch one on a spinnerbait. Talked to some folks catchin a bunch of bream and chinquapin. Saw lots of gators, such a pretty lake. Lots to see when you ain't catching.

I went there sat mornin, got there an hour before daylight. right at sunup, I started nailin bass on topwater. Caught 6, then the boats started gettin there, runnin around, and didn't catch another fish. I think that the horrible boat traffic has a lot to do with the bass in that lake. That, and that they've seen every bait you can think of!

Went to LM today, caught 25 keepers and about 10 throwbacks (perch jerking only) on crickets. Plenty boats for a weekday. I'm guessing with the horrible water at Henderson/basin/etc., everyone went to LM.

Tried again, water seemed to be sorta muddy, more than on Tues. Pretty strong SE wind, Very slow, only caught 7 keepers.
