Default Big Alabama 3-31-12

Not that much to report. Water still very high and the bass bite does not exist...except for the bass under 6inches. Sacalait was also slow... only a few small throwbacks. Was able to catch a few bream to fry for dinner. Great day on the water though. Forgot to take any before photos

I saw a trailer axle snatched out from under a trailer there!

Have fished that place a lot! Tons of small bass, but have caught some nice stringers from there also. Like to make a trip there again soon.

The Launch is not bad but watch out for stumps throughout the bayou. Wait until the water goes down alot before making a trip down the long, bumpy gravel roads. Right now most of the dock is covered in water. The bass bite is usually better but is slow because of the high water...never usually any big bass but lots of small ones. The bream were tasty!

Here is a pic. of the "new" boat launch at the Sherburne WMA hqd. The picture was taken Nov. '09.

The second pic. was taken a few weeks ago of the boat launch back in the woods on the lower part of Big Alabama.
