Default Boat Killer near Commissary Point

I was drifting (luckily) near Commissary this am, and saw this off in the distance. I thought it was floating, and I was going to try to get it in my boat but it was stuck (and huge). I hope nobody hits it while under way.

Is there somewhere to report things like this in the future? This could definitely ruin someone's day.

I noticed it about a year and a half ago too. It did seem very dangerous. I have no idea who to report it to though. I only saw it that one time, I figured it had gotten picked up or something, I always look for it...

Good Lord, that thing has been out there for that long? Hopefully everyone already knows about it, and I've just been lucky.

I agree. A brightly colored jug or buoy wouldn't be a bad idea. As many years as I have fished that area and ran by there, I've never seen it once. Great idea marking the coordinates of it as well!

I thought about trying to mark it, but I didn't have anything to use. Unfortunately, I can't get back out for at least a week. Maybe some of the SC crew can keep an eye out for it and get it marked. The water level was fairly high at the time, so I've got to think at low tide it would be easily visible (assuming daylight).

Just drag to landing with your boat...You will see there is about 4 of those already at the landing....

I pulled 3 of the 4 in ......

I showed the sheriff dept three weeks ago that very post, I thought he was going to take care of it, guess he didn't, if it's not removed or marked by the time I get home sunday I will personally remove it or mark it.

And if you take an extra effort in your lake you pick this kind of stuff up and remove it or even drag to bank...

Most of this stuff is just broken up stuff so drags easy....... Two months ago me and Chris reed had to pull a 20 ft pole at the landing....boats were just going around it and to freaken lazy to pull out the water....

Put don't worry we got dirty and pulled it out for the ones who drove around it

There is also an obstruction in Kelso Bayou in the corner just before Ammaco Dock ,if your comming from Spicers. It was in the Middle of the Bayou this morning.
