Default vote today increase snapper

so through the grapevine i heard the meeting at WL&F went well. the consoul vouted to move state water out from 3 miles to 10.5 miles andhave a 4 snapper / person limit within state waters , not sure if it would be a season or open all year . but the limit of 2/person/day would still be in place in fed water ( anything further than 10.5 miles out) . they say it will take place 2013

Yep and four snapper would be great. Inknowmplenty of places within 10 1/2 miles.
I hate it when you have to throw reds back because you plan on passing the 3 mile mark

I have found myself past it several times with reds in the boat and did not realize it. Especially fishing south of marsh island

That would be a great thing for recreational fishermen, kind of a meet in the middle type deal. If the commercial guys are allowed only in federal waters it seems like a win/win, but lots of politics in red snapper, so we will see, hope this is true

Cheers Snapper Meeting Results

Hope this goes through! 3 fish in State waters and a long season. Next month they look at extending State line.
