Just a heads up in regards to our trout fishing here in lower Terrebonne parish south of Houma. The trout fishing is off the charts with incredible big numbers of fish caught daily. The wind calmed down on Wednesday evening and the trout have been on fire!! Just within our network of captains we have brought over 1600 trout to the cleaning tables with 15 boats running the past 3 days. That's nearly 100 fish per boat every day !! We have whacked and stacked the trout and our fishing is incredible to say the least!! Taking a much needed rest this am as we prepare for a 4 boat charter this afternoon. Should be nice to have Coon Island to ourselves later today as it's been the hotspot for trout lately. Most of our fish have been caught on plastic with the Bayou Chub minnow working it's magic . Lsu ,Cajun pepper, glo /chartreuse and chicken on a chain has been the hot colors. Yesterday some of the guys used live bait and filled the box quickly as all boats were back in by noon with limits or near limits. We have 18 boats running next week but still have a few days available where we can fit you in if looking for a trip. Give me a call at 985-637-3712 to book your trip! We have it all with great fish catching captains, lodging, fish cleaning and accommodations for up to 40 people. The Reel Inn fishing lodge sleeps 20 people with our other 2 camps handling another 20 people! Come on down and see for yourself what Terrebonne parish has to offer and I know you'll enjoy your fishing adventure "Down In Dularge"! Good luck fishing.
