brought an Ultralight rod and sparkle beetle a few years back and tore up some bass in that place..... good times.

Wiskey chouita river........canoe rentals, white sand bars, bass, beers, good times....ice cold water...just dont bring glass....i say some where around middle of july lil over a month from now....

oberlin la......or kinder off 190 i have a camp off the place at 190 but the oberlin trip has alot more people and eye candy. i would be game for a trip

I have made the "float" trip from Mittie a few times. Great fun.....but check the river level before going.

After a good rain the river can get bad. I have also seen it fairly low making it a little hard in a few spots.

yes at our old camp we watched 2 diferent ocasions of people drowning because of high water. never understood why the canoe people would rent while the water is that high. Not something you want to see when you feel helpless to the family of these people. water gets really fast and no way to search for these people
