Default oh which yak shall I buy?

Went today to Pack & Paddle and Backpacker and looked at several different models but just can't completely decide. I am pretty much sold on a 14' and really liked the Tarpon boat and liked the Mantray by Native pretty much but so far leaning to the Tarpon so now I am looking for feed back on these boats or if ya'll have others I should look at in this group of boats.... Thanks Jason

pack and paddle has demo days several times a year. I think they actually will setup a private demo for you if you have a few that you would like to try.

I have the 12' Native Manta Ray and have no compliants. I wouldn't buy it if you to stand in it but its plenty comfortable and stable to sit for a few hours.

I didn't look at them very close but I know the seat on the tarpon is adjustable and its up off the floor to keep you dry.

We went on their demo a few weeks ago in Lake Martin. I tried the Cuda and the Ride 135. I prefered the Ride over the Cuda because of stability. The Cuda is a little faster, but I felt more comfortable in the Ride. I am no expert though..... Ask Coolhand!!

You may want to take a second look at the Cuda. The seat is very comfortable, have two height positions, and the back of the seat is adjustable as well. I've never been wet because of the seat.

The only kayak ive fished out of was this, and it was very stable. No speed demon, but I enjoyed fishing out of it

So, is anyone a fan of the Hobie Pro Anglers? I have the Hobie PA14 but I'm thinking of getting the Hobie PA12 2012. It's smaller and the chair is alot better. Any pros and cons that y'all may have heard?

This is a GREAT Deal!!! I would have bought if i didn't already own a yak. My buddy has the Ride 135 and its super comfortable and extremely sturdy! Not sure the brand of Paddle but you would be getting the Rigged yak for about half price.

I love my wilderness ride. It has the pontoon style hull which makes it super stable. Would definitely look into it of your planning on standing up or doing any fly fishing
