Trout Growth

We hit a little spot last night and saw a ton of trout popping the water under a light. We started casting at em, and hooked up almost every cast. We sat there and caught em almost every cast for 2 hours. Don't get me wrong, we had a lot of fun, but..... problem was that only 4 out of the at least 100 trout we caught were TX legal. (15 inches). We tried everything in the tackle box to see if there was a bait that the larger trout (if they were there) preferred, but it was dink after dink. Question is, will that same school of trout hang around that light all suummer? And if they do, will they grow an inch or two in that time?
