my philosophy in a kayak, the less stuff the better but don't forget the anchor if your fishing!

some do the trolley anchor, some do a drag chain, crate with pvc pipe rod holder, rod mounts for the front of the kayak, depth finders, etc....
I have a very basic setup... the seat is the only custom setup i have. I try to keep it simple. I only fish skinny water for reds in mine sooo i dont have a need for all that stuff. |

I found a create at Ship to Shore that has rod holders and is covered in a mesh which has pockets and a top to keep items safe inside incase you flip..... $75

or you could take a crate and put two pvc pipes in it for prolly 10$. your hull is water proof and also you should have a wet box compartment in the kayak.... unless you plan on storing a lot of stuff i think its a waste of 75$. just my opinion.

I agree with you I just liked the idea of the storage on sides and that it had a top to keep everything inside if you flip but I watched a video on the View and all the storage and I am leaning even more that way.

Jack a milk krate and use your imagination or come by and I'll give you one. $75 for a krate is ludakrist, spend $ on a paddle.

I used crates for awhile but stuff got cluttered in there. I ended up keeping them mainly for a place to hold my anchor and something to attach PVC rod holders to.
If you have a center hatch between your legs that has access to the hull, you can string a rope around the scuppers and tie some loops in it. Then you attach some small dry bags to the loops with carabiners, and put your lures, sunscreen, etc in the bags. Then when you need something you just open the hatch and slide the rope around till the bag you need is in reach. That was my favorite way to rig after trying a bunch of other ways. |

I use a crate just to transport small items that are going in the yak- my planos with tackle, anchor, sunscreen, etc. The crate stays in the car. In the rear well I use an ice chest rigged with rod holders. My Planos sit between my seat and the ice chest. Love the blue cube.
