Default VBay report

Fished with a couple of buddies today got a 3 man limit of reds today caught 5 real quick in pass then went look for trout on the reefs out side of pass no luck wind picked up went in the island to finish off our limit of reds.

There was some kind of tournament today out of point seen them weighing some studs if I'm correct I think 5 red fish stringer went almost 30 lbs and 5 trout stringer went like 13 or 14 lbs big red for tournament was like 8.3 and big trout was 4.5 fro conditions today I think there was a good amount of fish brought to the scales

Big and little charles bayou, lucien bayou and lake, oyster lake and ferme lake off of bird island bayou. There is thousands of spots to fish out there, but some are tricky to get to. If you never ran it before go with someone that has,it can get very shallow several canals are silted in. Or you can learn like I did....explore and get stuck alot, have a good push pole atleast 12 foot long. You don't really have to go inside the island to catch. I have caught limits of reds and flounder just trolling along the north bank of the island. I find the areas west of bird island best.(Canal where the game warden camp is located.)

thanks for the info. Have you tried lake sand? Southern most part of lucien bayou (reef there ) where it meets the gulf? South point? mound point? Thinking of trying those spots.

No I never fished those areas.....always caught good at the areas I mentioned. Never ventured that far east.
