caught a nice mess of sac-au-lait saturday night in South Toledo Bend. Live shiners in 30' of water under green lights. Pictured are Joey Redlich, JC Conn, and myself. Biggest one was 2.03 lbs.

No brush piles. We just find a treetop in about 30' of water near a drop off into a main creek channel and hang lights off the boat. Wait about 30 minutes drinking beer and then when the bait shows up we start fishing. We caught these 22 from 10 pm til 1:30.
I estimate we had 78,422 minnows swimming clockwise around our lights by midnight!!! |
