Tcoon and I hit the lake saturday afternoon to avoid the Saturday Morning Circus. We never made it to the reef that we were intending to fish because we were greeted by lots of birds, bait, and pretty water. All the fish under the birds were caught on top, with a bonus flounder caught on a sand eel. We boated around 24 fish and kept 15 in the chest.
We could of had a few more, but there was a boat out there that obviously hasn't read W's thread on how to fish the birds. They would follow us to each group, motor up wind with the big motor, one would steer and the other would try to catch them with shrimp and a popping cork. Needless to say they weren't very succesful and they ultimately gave up and we proceeded to land a few more.
All in all a great day on the water, the fishing was hot and the beer on the way back to the dock was cold.
