Default 7/2 Grand Isle

Water very pretty everywhere in Barataria this morning. Started off slow but ended with a bang. 40 trout and a small flat fish. Got into a real good bite around noon with a lot of 14-16 inchers mixes in with the pickles. My cousin from colorado also had the most diverse catch she caught a couple of rat reds, the flounder,a sheephead, trout of course, and two 8" mangroves (in the bay). She was super pumped. We caught at least 100 trout and left em biting cause the size started to shrink and the crew was getting tired. By the end of the day I had everybody fishing with plastic. And a good time was had by all.
I also lost one of the biggest trout I've ever hooked.... Spit my skitterwalk back at me 30 ft from the boat. Don't want to guess weight but I've never had a trout pull drag like that or make as big a splash when it hit the bait
