when yall go fish lights, are these lights that you have set up, or bring with you? I've seen a few posts where people have lights on timers in some places. also, are there certain times that are best to go at night? Is that time still affected by the tide, or are the lights all you need? Never been at night before, and hot as it is, seems the best way to go lately!

We basically just hit lights around different areas of the lake .Most people on docks with lights arent real receptive to you pulling up and fishing with them since you are parked on the spot where they are fishing .Most of them will turn the lights off till you leave . You can bring your own lights and set up on a reef somewhere and fish as well. Tide has alot to do with night fishing just like it does during the daytime.

I actually got with a friend on the lake last nite and got permission to fish where we were .

I figured that people that were actually on the dock would do that, I would, that would be extremely rude if you pulled up to fish a pier that people are fishing on, I would do a lot worse that just turn off the lights! But, if no one's there, and it's just on a timer...why not? thanks for the info that tide still affects it...preciate that.

Showed up to my pier and i had a potlicker on my lights. (inch) Just kidding. He was far enough away and was very quiet. Im sure we were much louder on the dock since we were 10deep and was having a bachelor party. When he left he trolled out very slow and quietly for us. Thanks. Not many people do that. Most of them put their boat in the lights and they wonder why the lights get turned off on them every where they go. We didn't do to well there so we moved down to my buddy south of heberts and ended up with 115 trout and a large flounder. The bachelor ended up falling in the water with his phone in his pocket. That's when we called it a night. Or early morning 430.
