Default Should I pull the trigger

Guys think I should buy this bike...I just need something to get me to the blind and possibly a day of riding...nothing intense...I don't need a mud buggy etc...just get me through a little mud in the marsh. I can get it for a decent price

1996 POLARIS 500 SPORTSMAN 4X4

Polaris + 13 yrs old = BAD IDEA

Stick with a honda Ours is a 03' model LOVE IT...Love the ITP mudlites on it though..

Are those stock tires or different? Cant really tell...Looks like different..But if not (if they are stock) get some different tires..Me and a buddy got their honda 350 stuck the other day with stock tires, which mine would have plowed thru the hole we was stuck in.

Good luck with it if you get one.

Man I highly advise you NOT to get a Poolaris. My dad, brother, uncle and I each had one and all of them were problems.

The only thing I would buy polaris are the Rangers. They are awesome but I had a 95 polaris trail boss and had tons of trouble. You can get a 400 honda foreman or 450 yamaha big bear around 10 years old for $2000. i would keep looking.

A friend of mine has his own ATV repair shop in Broussard and he refuses to work on poolarises because to fix anything on them you need a torch, a welding machine and a VERY big hammer.

If your thinking about buying it make sure the cv shafts are good they are the first thing that goes out and are very expensive to replace. Other than that if the price is right pull the trigger.

The pooyiiii 500 has some overheating problems I would def. let it run a while to make sure the fan kicks on and bike stays cool. Also if the front wheel drive goes out it cost a fortune to fix, all electric controlled. Just my 2 cents.

lol yea that would be about right. I just sold my bike a couple of months ago bacause I was tired of it spending more time at his shop than at my house, I'm pretty sure I paid for his billboard and that overhang on the front door.
