You should change them when they reach 50% erosion but.....that usually doesn't happen.

Ok thanks just seeing what everybodys take is on this my started to spot and I work on Saturation Systems and we changed them when they start spotting. But I know a outboard motor is a little more precise these days

It also depends on how much time the motor is in the water. Also, If you have a Suzuki be sure to inspect the the bare wire that is attached to the anode and motor bracket. If it is broke in two or shows signs of corrosion change it as well.
