My dad told me this one today.
Yall may have heard it.
The US postal Service released a new stamp recently that had a great portrait of Mr. Obama on the front. They spent millions picking out the stamp material, the colors, and the picture.
Well shortly after being released, there were complaints about the stamps not sticking to envelopes. Well the Federal government in all of its wisdom and power spent 3 million dollars researching why this particular stamp would not stick to envelopes.
After 2 weeks of testing, the results were in, but not as expected.
The stamp backing material was fine and was plenty sticky.
The envelopes were not the problem because they tested many different brands.
It wasnt the intricate designs on the stamp causing the problem.
Turns out that the research team discovered human error in the application process.
It seemed that everyone was spitting on the wrong side of the stamp.......
