Default ? for Honda 300 gurus

I have a 97' model that I got from a buddy of mine and there is an odd looking plug on the right side underneath the handlebars. Not sure what it's for, but I know it is 12 volts. My question is, is there some sort of adapter I can plug in to it to run a q-beam or a spreader or do I have to splice in so I can attach a cigarette lighter receptacle?

Spreader may be a lil too much amperage but I'm not sure, all I'm saying is check before you hook it up and unintentionally melt the wires
