I checked one out the other day at Lafayette Shooters. Pretty sweet. It has a 100,000 round warranty. It is inertia operated like a Benelli not gas operated. Only shoots 3".

Guy I work with just got one. Said he likes it. I am not a fan of brownings though. I wouldn't buy one. I have an old A5 that was given to me and it stays in the cabinet. Jams too much.

Buddy has the same issue with his benelli jamming. 3shells loaded after he fires the first one it ejects the empty then jams 2 and 3 under the chamber not holding the 3rd shell in the tube. Brand new gun and does that 90% of the time. Sent it to benelli they kept it for 3mo and said nothing wrong as soon as he got it back did it with #8 lead and #1 steel

I got the new a5 a week or so ago from G&H, surprisingly as smooth as my maxus and the recoil isn't near what my SBE 2 is. For a recoil operated gun it is a soft shooting gun. The Maxus and the SBE2 won't be seeing much playing time this year if the a5 holds up.

He cleans it like a mad man it ain't dirty being an issue it's being a benelli I guess. I told him to get an extrema2 with kick off but he had to be total opposite! Now he's feeling the wrath.

Bought mine about a month ago from G & H, and have put about 500 rounds through it thus far without one malfunction. Has some noticable recoil especially compared to my Beretta A-400 but it is a fine gun and really like the hump for target acquistion. All in all it is a sweet little gun.

1200 for the black synthetic and 1300 for the camo. Bought the all black one, I am partial to non-camo guns, but def just personnel preference. Also only chambered in 2 3/4 to 3 inch. Have shot the lightest loads to 1 1/8 loads so far, will be busting some teal with it next weekend to see how it does with steel...

After much surching I found the Browning A5 31/2" camo at a ****'s Sporting Goods grand opening. After a thorough cleaning I shot this the other night. I only shot 50 rounds but the size of shot ranged from 23/4" 11/8oz. low brass target load, 3" 13/8oz to 31/2" 15/8oz load. The gun cycled all loads without any issues. I have waterfowl hunted with a Browning Gold 31/2" for the last 12 years, the recoil on the A5 is more with the 31/2" load but not uncomfortable. It just reminds you, you just shot a 31/2. The gun has excellent balance and does come with a few different shims to adjust to the individual. The gun is very light compared to the Gold. It was enjoyable to shoot, the real test is time. I have no doubt that it will pass this test.

If I do buy an automatic, there is no doubt it will be the new 3 1/2" A5

I know 4 people who bought em. 2 of em didn't work and got sent back. Of the 2 good ones, one hunted everyday of big duck season and had 0 problems. The other one was used fairly often and had no problems. I think there are good and bad ones no matter what gun you buy

I bought the Stoeger M3500. So far, So good. Shot around 175 rds through it, no hang ups yet. Retired Maggie (Remington 870 pump) after 14 years of shooting her. She was on her 2nd barrel and was getting worn out.

I bought the A5 and I love it.. I actually
Swore I would never buy another gun when I bought my original A390. I bought the A5 because I have a couple of the older ones And love them. It's smooth and I have not had any issues with it.. I will for sure let you know how well it shoots in a couple more days when teal opens.. |
