Hairout Fishing today

Mother is in town and taking the kid for the day = mama and daddy get to go fishing. Told the wife we can just take it easy no need to get up at crack of dawn, which we did anyway. Well, my mother found out the neighborhood down the skreet is having a garage sale, so they all have been there since 7. I am hopped up on coffee and about to pull my hair out waiting to go fishing. Looks like the tide will be moving all day at Cyp Pt today so maybe by the time we get there, the morning crowd will be thinning out, yeah right

Thinking about making a afternoon run myself....tide don't look too good and I hope the 15-20 knot wind forecast is wrong.

In the bay?

I was on vacation last week and went Wednesday and Thursday morning. I don't think people work anymore. The crowds were bad during the week and it wasn't just a solo retired person, it was three to four younger people per boat. 15 years ago you may have had three or four boats out there during the week.

Horrible conditions out there today, we went straight to the marsh and the wind was tough to get away from there as well. We ended up with 4 reds, a speck, and a flounder. Missed a couple real nice specks in the marsh. Back at the ramp at 5:30 and very few boats remained.

And a big ol sunburn too
