what is this? My mom caught it on the bayside of crystal beach in a slip with a dipnet while scooping up floating beercans.

its a yellowing and its good to eat

looks like a tripletail but something is different?

just read and it appears to be a tripletail, they apparently vary in color when they are young, cool

It looks like a yellow triple tail thats weird. And if it was hovering under a beer can that is also character of a trip. Hmmm...My guess is a breed of triple tail lol

Triple tail, when their real small they get that color sometimes. I use to have some in an aquarium that looked like that.

tripletail. they have the yellow to blend in with the sargasso weed they hang around as juveniles.
