Mon/Tuesday Slam!
Plenty of great redfish and trout action Monday & Tuesday for John Pittman and his 5 man crew. Big thanks to Capt Josh Ellender for his help on Monday and Capt Gerald Ellender on Tuesday. These guys love to fish and anything with a tail and fins were fair game. They took home loads of fillets with over 125 trout and all the redfish & blackdrum they could handle. These guys caught well over 200 fish during their stay at the Lakehouse. John and his crew have never had a bad trip in the 10 years they've been fishing the DU and are spoiled rotten for our Louisiana fishing. Trout fishing is heating up big time with good fish in the 12-15in range. The reefs in Sister Lake seem to be holding larger fish than in Mechant. We caught trout every cast 2 at a time with solid 14-15 in fish. LSU and Chicken On A Chain Bayou Chubs have been working best for us. The reds and drum were caught bottom fishing after we caught our early morning trout. The best is yet to come as we are setting up for a great run in late October and November. Good luck fishing.
