A taxi driver went to pick up a fare this AM in NOLA. The fare "tried" to rob him so the cabby took out a pistol and shot him in the face! Good Job Cabby!

This displays the benefit of teaching and educating your children to respect and properly handle a firearm.

Per the follow up story on the intruder, that young girl saved herself from abduction and whatever else the intruder had planned.

I grew up up that way and, as country bumpkins, we often stayed home alone younger than that so, I guess I see it differently.
