Default Henderson bass fishing

Hit up henderson for a few hours today....launched my uncles small flat off the levy into the pits north of the interstate. Had a good trip caught 8 bass and missed several. Caught most on a black spro frog on the edge of the grass with duck weed on top. Hooked the biggest choupic I ever seen. Flipped a black/red berkley pit boss and hit it instantly. Shook his head and threw the hook. I also saw a big white cat walking along the tree line....watched it for 20 mins or so never seen anything like it. Had to be 50-60 pounds and solid snow white. Got some pics on my phone but I can't get them to upload. Any idea what it might be? Was a peaceful afternoon, didn't see another boat.

For several years I've been fishing those pits in my kayak until a month ago. A State Trooper patrolling the levee in an SUV told me it was all private property and I was trespassing. He scanned my license and got my info, said it was a warning and if was caught on that side on the levee again I would be given a ticket.

It would be like me trying to run someone out of Kern's pit. I feel your OK as long as it's accessible by water. Go to the St. Martin Parish Assessor's web page. Pull up the web map and zero into the area you searching and it will list the surface map and land owner.

That sucks....been fishing off the levy since I was a kid never had any trouble. They had several people launching crawfish skiffs off the bank. Guess it boils down to who you know.

It is ok to be on the water but not the property between the levee and the water. According to the State Trooper. With the low water most of the pits are not connected together so the only way to get in is to drive to them. I was parked in front of the 4th pit N of I-10
