Only time I used them was to put a lift on truck. They dented the bed and tried to say it was already there. Never again!

I recommend hurricane offroad!! They have done complete axles for me for my cj7 with no problems. I don't know of any bad reviews.

I did a lot of machine work for them back in their beginning. They did good work back then and I have not heard anything negative since.

Hurricane did the 3.42 to 4.56 gear swap on my 99 Tahoe. They do good work and are considered the go-to shop for gears in Lake Charles. Just to warn you though gear work ain't cheap, no matter where you get it done.

Thanks for the posts, it is pricey but well worth it... I have 35's on my JK and want to move up to 4.88's... This will put me lower than "stock setup" and where things need to be ...

Thanks again to all !!!

I plan on putting gears in mine soon too. Let me know if you can tell a difference. My jeep has trouble moving my 35's

Will do...

By all the charts the 4.88's will put my setup (3.6 Penta with six speed manual) in the "performance" gear range which will give me a 1000 rpm increase across the board vs. where things are now...

Should be a beast , also turns first gear into a granny !!!

Dropped it off Monday and got it back today.

Gears, sleeves, gussets, ball joints, and a custom front DS. Really like the 4.88's, first gear take-off without using the gas, starts easily from second... Actually able to use 5th and 6th. Just got to get thru the 500 mile break-in before towing again ...

Good guys, timely and professional.
