Default Lifted Trucks

Alright, lets see them. I want to go bigger on a lift and put 35s on mine, not sure what I want to go with. Southern151 feel free to chime in lol.
Just a small 3in suspension on it right now. Tire suggestion?

wrangler duratracs are pretty quiet in my opinion and have enough bite to get you out of the tough stuff occasionally.

All you need is a 3" body lift to clear 35's on that body style....I like the toyo mt's but there not cheap. Keep in mind you will need to go to 4.10 or 4.88 gears if you want the same pulling power with the larger tires. It's not cheap to do it right....like they say you gotta pay to play.

I am runnin these in a 33" and so far I am very pleased. I put 35" on my Dodge 2500 and regretted it due to fuel mileage.

Been running lifted trucks on hwy and i've had off road mud trucks. Cheapest way is to get another truck for off road. Been there done that. If you going for looks put a body lift and a mild suspension lift. Fuel mileage will go to sheet and you'll change lots of suspension and steering parts due to premature wear with a big lift due to extra stress put on components.
Also don't buy a cheap lift you will regret it.

My last lifted was a 88 ranger extended cab. 6" lift and ran 33" s with plenty room. I now have a 2008 liberty 4x4 I put a 3.5" lift on. Just need to order some tires. I use mine for those hard to reach kayak fishing spots.

Start digging around on the off road forums, plenty of info out there and allot of "been there, done that" experience... Its easy to get to the point of diminishing returns and end up with something that's not a good daily driver...

Personally, I'm not a big fan of body lifts as there are too many real good IFS suspension lifts out there nowadays... They are expensive, but you get what you pay for... Keep those CV joint angles where they need to be, cheap lifts can put everything in a bind...

I have lifted a couple of 80's Broncos, F150's, 2 Tacomas, and my old Super Duty (straight front axle, easy)... Working on a Wrangler now which is a whole different animal due to short wheel base and sharp driveshaft angles ...

Very nice setup, "just right" without going too extreme ...

What he said! 35's & lifts are hell on trucks that are used everyday. Which equals lots of money.

2" level for the front gives a nice stance and clearance, and lets you haul your 4wheeler or a trailer without pointing the nose to the sky.

295/75-18 Nitto Trail Grapplers fit perfect, they're just under 35" and a little narrower which IMO looks spot on and they are a little rare so your truck will have that subtle, but bad a$$ look that will be hard to figure out. Also easier on you truck. Every truck out there has 35x12.50, so they all look the same.......................................

To me you can't beat the Toyo MT! They last forever and are very quiet and have about the best ride of any mud grip I've ridden! Had a 2002 F250 with a leveling kit and 16" Helo's with 35" nitto Mud grapplers (loudest tire everrrrr!) Then put 20" XD Hoss' with 35" Toyo MT's. Now I have a leveled 2009 F150 Platinum and I'll never go bigger than stock again! As much as I like it its just not practical with fuel prices!

a little bit of a double standard here. Its ok to lift a truck for no other purpose then to put expensive rims and bigger tires on it but not this? Is there really a difference? Neither does anything but decrease fuel mileage?
