plumbing issue help thanks
The plumming is copper, so that's where I have the problem!!! when installing the new faucet, will the copper need to be cut/heated etc.. it will need to be soldered. they sell compression fittings that you could make work, but behind a wall on a shower faucet is not a place to use them.

They make fittings that just snap on. They are called shark bite fittings. They are not cheap to but though.

I try to fix everything myself.
But a few years ago, when I needed to repair a leak in a copper line I hired someone to make the solder "weld" that was inside the bathroom wall. I have watched someone make the solder connectons but just did not trust myself to try doing it. |

Buddy of mine is a plumber and he uses these from time to time and said only place he had seen an issue was with putting them on soft copper, he said if its the old copper or straight copper they work great.
