![]() Another fun day on the DU yesterday. Our day started out slow but ended with a bang as we left the trout biting with the bad weather moving in on us fast. We left out from the 'Lakehouse' around 7:20 am and headed south with Kevin Ford and camera man John Spain. Only found about 12-15 fish at our first stop. We hopped around back north as the winds pushed us back north to seek protection. Working natural bayous deep in the marsh we found trout scattered and they were caught on LSU chubs and bunker swim baits. Kevin the bobber boy found some good action under a cork catching 15-20 nice trout as he even made me switch over for a short while. We eventually found some fish stacked in a current line off a point and was maul dragging them with the rain moving in from the southwest. We elected to head in with fish biting on almost every cast but it was the right call as it only got worse once back at the Lakehouse. Finished up with a good box of fish with about 15 fish short of our limits. Thanks Kevin and John for another great day on the DU! Should be a good show! Good luck fishing.
