Default Trolling motor problem

Hi,
I have a 2006 MinnnKota Riptide 101 hand operated saltwater trolling motor that is beginning to give me some intermittent problems. I have a floor mounted on/off switch and sometimes when I step on the switch the motor does not turn on. When that happens I can hear a slight clicking noise. Can't tell for sure if the noise is coming from the switch or the head of the trolling motor.

Do you think I have a bad switch or something more sinister?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Charlie
