Took the family down to the camp Sunday afternoon for a relaxing couple of days at the camp. We got down there kinda late so we got the kids bathed and to bed and out the door I went. I got a call from my buddy and he said the trout were busting at his warf. Got there and he was right but they wouldn't bite anything. I had just bought some VUDU shrimp for night fishing on my buddy's warf. I threw a few times with no luck. The I put it under a cork about 18 in deep and I caught 5 in a row then it quit. So I decided to throw ole trusty mirrodine and started smoking them. Could kept catching until the sun came up but I figured I needed some sleepso I headed in.

I hit the lake Monday morning to nice conditions. I hit 5 different spots north of commissary pt with one trout and a flounder. In between the trout fishing we ran into a few school of reds and got on them pretty good. We kept two and released the rest. With no net in the boat made it a pain to land them. So I called my wife and ordered up some breakfast. We were in around 10.

My wife took the youngest into town so me and dad took the other two for a little boat ride. Ended up seeing the reds again and had to give someone a lesson on how to hit the reds. He tried to set up on them like they were trout. I showed him how it was done and he still was trying to chase them with his trolling motor.
30min after we got on the water my daughter fell asleep so we went in.

Hit my buddy's wharf again Monday night and only caught 5. The wind kinda messed up the bite.

Tuesday we decided to try further south with little luck. Water was beautiful. Went to west cove then it started to rain so we said hell with it. When I was cleaning the fish my son was fishing for the hard heads that hang out under the stalls and got a few. I re baited his hook with some speck belly meat dropped it in and about a 25 lb big nasty grabbed it. I hurried and grabbed the rod so it wouldn't pull him in but it popped my off under the boats. Wish I could have landed it, would have been funny.

I only have one pic of a red I will post later.
