So far so good, I love it. the main benefit to me is the more time you spend fishing.

I've had multiple issues with the mount. Standoffs breaking off in the latching mechanism. But I had new ones machined out of stainless and no more problems.

For those that have it, how good is the anchor function? if you were 60ft from a runout, pilings, etc., could you set it to hold you in place and fish that spot without getting too close or out of casting range?

It will stay in a 10ft circle. In heavy current it will run at wide open to stay there if it has too.

It held me in the same spot in 20mph winds

I guess what is worrying me is, I see my gps track when I leave it on when I am fishing a spot, and it looks like a pile of cooked spaghetti. I think it looks like this because of the little bit of selective availability that is still turned on. Or possible it is just because of the 3 meters of variance in the accuracy. So with that being said does the I pilot follow said spaghetti path keeping you in same 10 foot spot?

From what I read it only follows the path you record. Say from point A to B back to A.
The anchor lock function doesnt follow a path, it job is to keep you with in a 5 foot radius of the spot u locked. sent from my Galaxy NOTE II |

The only way it will follow a track through your GPS is if you have it hooked up through a hummingbird unit. That is called the ilink

i guess I didn't explain it well. I will try again. When in anchor function, does it meander in a radius or does it let you drift a little off the spot and then bring you straight back and let off just before you get there......like you would do manually?

Yes you'll drift a little and it will speed up to get back to the spot. i like to use it with my power pole to keep the right angle to the bank if there is a cross wind.
