Default Corkies vs Mirrodines

I've recently been converted to both of these slow sink baits. I'm wondering what the people here who use both think of them in a compare/contrast discussion. I know the corkies are generally known as big fish baits, but the other day the 14-16s slurped them aggressively while other baits went unnoticed. And I'm sure some on here have gotten some big ones on the Mirrodines.

Under what conditions do you use them? What are your go-to colors? Anybody ever fish them under the birds (would seem to not make sense when trout are picking shrimp)

Mirrodines seem ideal for later morning fish on sunny days when a twitch or rip can catch some flash in the water column. Corkies seem to rise and glide, then slowly settle. What's the opinion on the Fat Boys?

Both catch good fish and its the bait that grabs your confident level, you catch one good fish on a certain bait and thats all you wanna throw ilybtil the next big one bites another bait you throw....
