I had to work in the bottom of a 330' jack up boat leg. I didn't see any stars.

did you have a clear line of site up? or did you even look up?? i am guessing it dont work if your down there welding or if the sun is shining stright in the tube??

We looked up. Had about 180' of unobstructed view above us at times. We had a work basket hooked to a crane, Co would swing up agains the leg where the man hole was and we would get out and climb into the leg. We would start at 6:30 and get out at 5 or so.
