Wondering if anyone could shed some light on what's going on at Toledo Bend. Will be going up there to fish for the first time this weekend for my Bachelor Party. Staying at my sister's fiance's camp near Negreet. I'm used to fishing with beetlespins and the occassional worm or lizard on a bayou that's not more than 6 or 8 feet deep, so a big ole lake like Toledo is a whole new thing to me.

Yeah the brim are doing great on beds in 3-10 ft of water, find a bed with some crickets or nightcrawlers and your liable to fill up a cooler with some hand sized brim.
Crappie are still being caught by slow trolling black or white or green jigs with chart tails either 1/8 or 1/16th oz. run the weedlines between 13-20ft I don't know much about the bass, but the white bass are off the points on the top 1/2 of the lake and as TD said.. catch em with a spoon. |

If you in negreet you dont have to go far! I have a camp in Turtle Beach. the boat docks in the back of Turtle Beach are very productive for bass, crappie and breem. For bass flip any kind of worm around the docks. For crappie use shiners (look for the boat docks with flood lights. Thats the docks with brush piles in front of them). Breem use worms. Shadows landing area has productive boat docks also

Good advice ya'll, thanks. If I don't have a boat, is there is still some good fishing off the banks? I think we will have a couple of boats, but not certain. Prolly gonna run some jugs as well.
