Here's an even better question: how does anyone know how many lbs of snapper are caught off of each state? No one calls in a daily catch total weight! It's simply a guess - one that is probably so far off it is ridiculous!

Last hitch a commercial snapper boat tied up for the better part of 6 hours and probably caught 700+ snapper..

State of La is doing a dock study at almost every marina. It's actual hands on survey has proven the numbers given by NMFS have been way out of actuality.
