I have been having some issues with my 250 HPDI battery. I have been running a academy 750 CCA and just found out Yamaha recommends a 1000 CCA for the HPD. The issue is most 1000 CCA's I find are about $300. Anyone else having this issue with a a HPDI or have a suggestion on what battery I should use?

We do not recommend using optima batteries for engine cranking batteries with any of the newer engines, regardless of brands. We have had too many low voltage problems when they were used in the past. Not sure why because on paper they meet all specs, just know what we have run across a bunch of times. We recommend Interstate 24m-xhd regualar acid batteries.Whatever you use it must be 1000 cca minuim.Optima's are great for troll motor applications.
call if you need more info.Thanks,Mac--361-758-8486 |

I just bought an interstate megatron 30 mth battery yesterday for my truck. $116 off the truck at drivers price. $154 retail, nothings cheap anymore. Auto Zone wanted $122 for a 24 month battery.
