Default Houston River 7/27

Hit the river again today. I got a late start. Didn't hit the water till 10am. Sun was too high. Only caught small fish in tight on the structure. Nothing to keep but kept me interested. Then the thunder sounded in the distance. It clouded up. Then the wind picked up and it was on. I caught 20 white perch and some bass back to back. It was fast and furious. The cork never floated....... lol. It started raining so I headed to the nearest bridge to ride the storm out. After that it was hit or miss on each laydown. I would pick up one hear 2 there. I ended the day with 36 sacs, 7 bass, 5 goggle eyes and one blue cat. Slimed the boat good inside and out today.

You know it. I like fishing in the shade and a view when fishing. Plus them fish are tasty. Not to mention can be tricky to catch at times. Another added benefit is catching a 2 -3 # bass on a ultra light or jigging pole. Plus pot lickers rip there outboard off the transome if they head my way.....lol.
