Me and my buddy decided to make a quick trip down to Dularge Sunday. We slept in and left Baton Rouge at 8 o clock and made our way down to Jug's Marina for an afternoon fishing trip. We hit some duck ponds full of grass off of Lake Mechant that have been producing for me so well the past couple weeks and it was on! Caught our limit of 10 reds and threw back many more in only a matter of hours. We were done by noon. Every single fish was caught on a redfish magic spinnerbait with a green hornet matrix shad. The fish were all in clean grassy water in about 8 inches of water cruising on top of the grass. If you go redfishing out there stand on top of an ice chest and wait til you see the fish deep in cuts of grassy ponds. Go as deep as you can and be stealthy because most the fish we caught were only 5 feet from the boat. The reds are very aggressive right now turning on a dime when they see the spinner, go out and get on them while they're biting
