just recieved this from cory who lives in texas, i thought you might like to read what he has to say, had to edit part of his name "sorry"

Billy,

It’s be almost a year since I’ve had you build me a rod and I just wanted to say thank you again. It really is a fine piece of art. Not only that, but it’s extremely durable too. Enclosed is a picture of a recent evening wade that I made here in Corpus Christi. The rod has handled fish perfect since day one, including a few trout over 26” back in January and February.
I must say that out of the custom rods that I own to this date, yours is the only one that I have never had a problem with. Thanks again for an amazing rod… [

hi ross
yes i have the first coat of finish on yours now going to apply the 2nd coat tonight then it will need to dry good and i will ship both rods at once.

but the "reel" purpose of the thread is to show that the man is happy with his custom billystix spiral rod after a year and he also state's that he is the owner of other custom rods that he has had problems with.

i havent had a chance to do it as yet, i have been fighting a minor problem that is getting in my way, it's causing me to have to change the way i live a bit and i aint gonna like that to much for a couple weeks
but just let me get thru going to the rehab tomorrow and perhaps things will level back out a bit, but i will do it i promise.
