Tarpon making comeback in SWLA?
It'd be sweet if they could make a comeback in this area. I know they used to catch them in Big lake waaaay back in the day. Thoughts? Anyone else spot one lately? |

My wife says Ladyfish are the "poor man's Tarpon". They fight and jump like Tarpon.

Giant Ladyfish or Tarpen
I have heard of people hooking them on Big Lake.
But, I didnt realize how big lady fish got until I went on the Chandeleur Trip; these fish could eat the Ladyfish you catch @ Ensco 56. |
