Default VB 9/29 Sunday

Took my buddy Corey Mouton to the Bay and managed to catch a few. Started of with a bang catching 2 quick and getting bites losing a couple at the boat then the bite came to a halt. Made a few more drifts but nada. Tried 2 other areas then came back to the area where we started. The bite would turn off and on throughout the rest of the morning. Had to fish very slow at times. We lost 5 at the boat and missed about 5 or so other fish that we had hooked. Could have been a much better but day but "ah well." The fish gods will return the favor. All fish caught inside on 1/8 ounce jigs and swim baits. Stopped fishing at 12:00, ended up with 15 trout.

Haoward, did you put in at Quintana around 715 today? Launched there in my Blackjack. Caught some specks and white trout in the Cove, all but 1 were too small. Headed across and caught lots of cats under the birds at the pass, outside was rat reds, more cats, and black drum, plus a sting ray and a shark. Went north to Michelle and ended up talking to a Wildlife Agent and catching a nice red

I think I saw y'all, had a group of yaks hovering not long before y'all left?

I don't have any pictures, but my dad went last Thursday with a friend and caught I think 35 specks and a limit of reds at the reefs. said the whole bay looked great as far as water goes.

But as y'all know, with VBay, this was probably just a lucky *** day lol

Will do next time. I had a short window time to fish so we got moving quickly and came back too soon.

I have probably one of the only Blackjack's with a Mercury on back out there.

Worked 4 nice flocks of birds. Nothing but Gaftops! They were big, hit hard and fought like crazy-but I'd rather catch small trout! Oh well, didn't have to clean fish.
