Cheers Rockin N Reelin 10-31-13

Gary Rayburn brought his son, sister from Nashville, and cousin from Indiana fishing today. We departed the Reel Inn at daybreak and found the fish waiting for us. The winds were blowing 20 + mph before we even left the lodge (and got high as 30mph during the day), but that didn't stop us from catching!! Despite the tough conditions we still had the trout coming in 1-2 at a time on double rigged Matrix Shad. We fished reefs first thing in the morning until we got blown out then retreated into the marsh. We looked for reds and bass in the marsh but only found more trout. A good time was had by all and a few first today...biggest and most fish caught!! Pink Champagne Matrix Shad has really been putting a hurt on the yellow mouths going on three weeks now. Thanks guys for being persistent in the tough conditions, it paid off with a nice box of trout.
